Giving Energy to the Planet

So, this is to be done by holding your hands open and facing upwards until you feel a tingling sensation. This will happen with practice; until then the next stage can still be done.

The idea is to visualize in turn: the war-torn areas, the refugee camps, the displaced travellers, the abused and any others. As you visualize these areas imagine your Loving kindness flowing over them.

Visualisation is an immensely powerful tool, which can help situations and individual people all over the World. Please remember that you are all connected, even a kind thought or word can help.

The more effort you put into this, the more effect you will have and the better you will feel. The rewards are enormous, both individually and on a Global scale.

Try to do this for 10 minutes each day as part of your Meditation practice. Don’t worry if you can’t visualize for all of the 10 minutes. Just do what you can and remain with your palms facing upwards for the rest of the time. It is important you start with the intention.

You can choose any areas you wish to focus on. These may include: people who are starving, living in fear and enduring physical hardships. You could turn your attention to the plight of animals and that of the Planet itself by looking at the rainforests and areas of pollution. Don’t forget to also visualize these areas in a state of recovery.
