For the sake of this article we are going to say YES! We are not talking about an enlightenment with a small “e”, meaning I have understood or I have solved a problem. The Enlightenment that we refer to is a Spiritual Enlightenment.
There are many people that claim that they are Enlightened who describe it in a multitude of ways. However, there is generally a commonality which refers to an expansion of consciousness or a moment in which their perception completely changes. They normally express this using terms like the “self”, a higher form of “Self” or the real “Me”. They may also mention a “Oneness” or talk of a lack of separation. Having achieved this State realizations of limitlessness and infinity are often spoken of.
Prior to Enlightenment the person was living in and was conscious of the physical universe. On attaining Enlightenment they would in some way speak of the lack of limits and divisions. In which case they have achieved an infinite State. The question then arises can there be more than one infinite State?
The answer is absolutely YES! Mathematicians have wrestled with this concept for centuries and conclude that there can be different size infinities! It is a question of dimensions; if you are conscious of the physical 3 dimensional universe and have an infinite expansion then you can claim a state of Enlightenment. You are at one with everything. That is everything within the universe as you know it.
However, if you manage to transcend the universe and become Conscious of the Dimensions of Spiritual Light and Sound then Enlightenment would entail becoming at one with these levels of Creation as well. Some Meditators after passing through Second Initiation have claimed this State because they cannot sense any Limits. However, after a period of time, if they continue Meditating they will report boundaries that demonstrate edges and restrictions.
The Enlightenment that the Spiritual Hierarchy refer to is is beyond all the vast Planes of Light and Sound, it is impossible to define as it has no edges, no limits, no geometries, no vibrations and no colours. The only word that comes close is LOVE; an undifferentiated, unrequited limitless LOVE.
It is obviously THE State of Enlightenment which encapsulates all other Enlightenments. It is the Ultimate Infinity!
We are told that it is possible for true seekers to attain this Ultimate Enlightenment by themselves. This is generally very difficult and requires a phenomenal amount of dedication and perseverance. The only difference is that people who achieve this may not then know how to pass it on to others. They would spend the rest of their lives inspiring others and encouraging them to “climb the mountain”.
The Hierarchy have explained that our Path, which requires physical touch, is used to reach the masses. Once a Meditator has attained Enlightenment they can then assist those around them. The other major difference is that this Path which uses the new Lightwave is much easier to walk/climb. The Meditator is being Guided every step of the way. It is as if ropes are in place and although we have our part to play, much of the time we are being “hauled up the Mountain”.
We should be grateful that we have discovered this incredible Path and at the same time be highly respectful of others who have attained Enlightenment(s) by another route.
Unless people have transcended all the levels of Consciousness, it is not Enlightenment in the real sense. As people are attracted to different religions, in the same way they are looking for ways to reach Enlightenment too. They are drawn to a myriad of practices.
Think of a high mountain; many ways to climb it, but some people think they know best and chose a way that they struck and can go no further. Their view can be so spectacular that they kid themselves that they have made it to the top!
Others don’t have the time, others give up because it is too hard. These people are hard to persuade – that their way won’t give them what they need, especially if they have invested time and energy into it.
