When a person Meditates it is so easy to compartmentalise the activity as “time on the cushion”. As soon as the session ends they are straight back into the World and subject to its unending constraints and demands.
However, Meditation is an amazing tool that can help us navigate the challenges of life on the Planet. All that is required is that we keep reminding ourselves of our State of Consciousness….to let go periodically and sit back in Ourselves. This is not hard to do, we simply need to make it part of our daily life.
If we find we are in a difficult situation just take a few deep breaths, say the Mantra and then just let go. Then can be done with eyes open and during an activity (but not while driving or crossing the road etc.) It is best understood as “Touching Base” or keeping in “Tune” with our Higher Selves.
It also means that when we Meditate formally we are more prepared and it is much easier to leave the World behind.
Just as it is possible to hear the Sound Current and physical sound at the same time and occasionally see Divine Light and Earthly light….
…..we can become aware of our Spiritual State and sensory existence simultaneously.
